Okay - 1. sorry about the huge size - there's a lot more to say that I first thought!

2. This is my first tutorial so I don't know if I've left anything out or it's not very clear, but if that is the case: tell me and I will try to fix that. (nothing worse than a tut you can't understand >.>;)

3. Have fun!

Tools: The GIMP again.


P.S. - This tutorial is only for the GIMP because even though the principles may work elsewhere, I don't know if they would. You are welcome to experiment and let me know! :D

I'm confused. >> my previous frames always show up in the animation.

Yes, when you do the animation with a transparent background, the previous frames will show up. If you want to have things moving around, etc, you have to cover it with the next frame. I haven't yet figured out how get around this when animating with The GIMP. Sorry about that - hope you can work it out somehow. ^^ :heart:
